✨Optimization Engine Enhancements
✨Resource Library – Scenario Engine Tagging
✨Technology Defined by Scenario
✨Excel App Builder Updates
Optimization Engine Enhancements
We’re excited to announce that our optimization engines have been upgraded to Gurobi 12, bringing significant advancements to both network optimization and transportation optimization.
Network Optimization – Solve times have seen remarkable improvements, with some models solving 20-40% faster. This enhancement enables quicker and more efficient decision-making.
Transportation Optimization – Now includes User-Defined Variables, providing enhanced flexibility to tailor metrics and constraints to your specific needs. Track or restrict factors such as the number of products per route, total transit time, the countries a route crosses, and more, giving you greater control over your logistics.
These updates deliver enhanced performance and adaptability, empowering users to optimize operations with even greater precision.

Ease of Use – Resource Library – Scenario Engine Tagging
Cosmic Frog now makes it easier than ever to work with engine technologies by introducing pre-tagged scenarios in our enhanced Resource Library model templates. These scenarios come with built-in tags that display intuitive UI iconography, eliminating the need for manual tagging.
This feature is especially beneficial for new users or those looking to learn modeling best practices, as it provides clear, practical examples of how different engine technologies align with specific scenarios. By streamlining the process, users can confidently select the appropriate engine when running a model solve, ensuring accuracy and efficiency every time.
Ease of Use – Technology Defined by Scenario
Defining specific technologies (NO, Greenfield, TO, IO, SIM) for each Scenario is now available, streamlining the user experience. Instead of selecting both scenarios and corresponding technologies in the Run screen—where mistakes like running a Greenfield scenario with the NO technology could occur—you can now avoid these errors entirely.
This update also improves productivity as users where many scenarios across multiple technologies can be run with a single click, eliminating the need to run each technology individually.
Excel App Builder Updates
Data can now be geocoded seamlessly within the Apps workflow using a new action—eliminating the need for custom code or external tools.
You can also define and apply conditions to large datasets before exporting, ensuring compatibility with Excel’s row limitations per sheet. With these updates, you can fully harness the power of Optilogic’s hyper–scaling technology, all from the convenience of Excel on your desktop.
