Expert-Led Training Courses

How to Balance Service and Cost by Using the Right Inventory Policy Selection

Course Description

When should you replenish inventory? How much should be ordered? Is the cost to hold additional inventory balanced by an improvement in service? Can you reduce inventory on hand and still meet service goals?

Optilogic’s Dendro inventory simulation engine combines the power and detail of simulation with the intelligence of a genetic algorithm to eliminate the guesswork from these critical decisions.

In this course, you’ll put your simulation skills to use while learning the fundamentals of Dendro modeling, apply those concepts to execute inventory policy optimization, and leave with the tools you need to truly understand the relationship between cost and service—enabling you to make better, data-driven inventory decisions.

Prerequisites: Into to Simulation course and/or prior Optilogic simulation experience

Network Optimization: Beyond the Basics

Course Description

Are you ready to take your supply chain network optimization model to the next level? Our intermediate-level course is designed for professionals who are familiar with the basics and would like to dive deeper into more complex concepts. This training session will guide you through intermediate topics such as detailed production, inventory, and advanced constraints.

Prerequisites: Getting Started with Cosmic Frog course and/or prior network optimization modeling experience

Maximize Efficiency in your Network Using Advanced Vehicle Routing

Course Description

Loading, making deliveries, and returning to the start—if only it were that simple. In reality, delivery schedules, backhauls, and other pickups may all play a critical role in optimizing your fleet. In this advanced training course, you’ll learn how to tackle these complexities using Optilogic’s Hopper transportation optimization engine. Gain the skills to streamline your routing strategy and maximize efficiency in your network.

Prerequisites: Into to Hopper course and/or previous vehicle routing modeling experience

Shoot for the Stars – Democratize Design via Excel Apps

Course Description

Learn how companies are getting supply chain design models into the hands of more users to improve decision making. In this training, you’ll build an Excel app that allows business users to enter data, run Cosmic Frog models and see the results in an Excel view.

Prerequisites: Some Cosmic Frog experience may be helpful, but not required.
