How to Create an Optilogic Account

In just a few clicks, you can create a free account on the Optilogic platform, which includes Cosmic Frog and DataStar among other applications. This document walks you through the steps.

Quick Start (2-3 minutes)

If you just want the fastest way to get started:

1. Go to the Optilogic Create Account page
2. Enter your name, email, and phone number
3. Click Next Step
4. Choose one:
   • Sign in with Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn (fastest)
   • OR create a password
5. Complete the form and click Submit
6. Check your email and click Verify Email
7. Answer a few setup questions → you're in!

Overview of the Sign-Up Process

You will go through 3 main stages:

1. Enter basic details
2. Choose sign-in method (SSO or email/password)
3. Verify email and finish setup

Start the Account Sign-up

To start, go to the Create a Free Account page on Optilogic's website. You will see the following form on the right-hand side:

1. Fill out your name, email address and phone number in the personal details section.
2. Optionally, tick the boxes for receiving a call to discuss your objectives and receiving latest information from Optilogic. By default, these are unchecked.
3. Click on the Next Step button to continue the account creation process.
4. In case you will be using the Optilogic platform in an academic setting, you can instead click on the link to create an education account.

After clicking on the Next Step button, the form changes to the following message. In addition, a new browser tab has been opened and has automatically become the active tab (see screenshot below this one):

The new active tab shows the following Create An Account form:

1. At the top, 3 Single Sign-On (SSO) options are available. If you have SSO enabled for Microsoft, Google or LinkedIn and you wish to use it for logging into the Optilogic platform, then click on one of these options.
2. If you wish to use your email and a password to sign up, click on this option.

We will first go through the Single Sign-On steps using Google as the example in the next section. In the section after, Email and Password Steps, we will cover the email and password sign-up option.

Single Sign-On Steps

We will illustrate the single sign-on process by going through the steps using a Google account. These steps are similar when using a Microsoft or LinkedIn account.

First, you will be prompted which Google account you want to use. The one you are currently logged into will be listed and you can click on it to select it. If you want to use another Google account, click on the "Use another account" option.

After selecting the Google account to use, the following form will appear:

1. The drop-down shows which Google account you are using. Click on it to go back to the previous step and select a different account.
2. The information that will be shared from Google with the Optilogic platform is listed here.
3. Click on the Continue button to go to the next step or click on the Cancel button to abort the sign-up using this SSO method.

If you have clicked on the Continue button, the following form with user account information will come up. If any details are missing, please fill them out and then click on the Submit button.

You have now signed up for an Optilogic account. The next step is to verify your email address, see the Verify Email and Configure Account section further below (link).

Email and Password Steps

If you have chosen the option to sign-up using your email address and a password, the bottom part of the sign-up form will now look as follows:

1. Fill out the credentials you will be using to login to the Optilogic platform.
2. Enter your personal info.
3. Click on the Submit button.

Verify Email and Configure Account

Regardless of if you used an SSO method or the username & password option to sign-up for an Optilogic account, the next steps are the same. After clicking on the Submit button, the following message will appear:

Go into your email account and find the email from Optilogic Support with the subject Verify Your Optilogic Email. In there, click on the Verify Email button:

This will take you into the Optilogic platform, where you will be walked through a few quick questions to finalize your details and set up your account. Step 1 is pre-populated from your previous entries; if any are missing, please add them and then click on the Next button:

The next steps gather a bit more information:

When completed, the Cosmic Frog application will be opened, and you can start exploring any of the 3 example models shown on the start page:

Sign-up for Account from Optilogic Login Page

Note that you can also sign up for an Optilogic account from the platform's login page (https://optilogic.app) by clicking on the Sign-Up link at the bottom. The options and steps are the same as documented above.

Troubleshooting

Did not receive verification email?

• Check spam/junk folder
• Wait a few minutes and try again
• Follow the steps in the Trouble Receiving Account Confirmation Email article

Wrong SSO account selected?

• Log out and restart the sign-up process
