Anura 2.8.19 Upgrade - Release Notes

We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Anura schema version 2.8.19, with enhancements to our engines and model run options. The migration rollout will start soon and is expected to be completed by the end of March.

All updates in this release are additive — there are no breaking changes.

🔧 Major Projects Enabled by This Release

Neo

  • Process yield modeling - Processes can have a yield % where some product is lost during production.

Hopper

  • Compartment modeling - Products can be placed in compartments within a single shipment, enabling compartment-specific constraints.

Other

  • Utility Curves for easily specifying Dendro parameters
  • Improvements to plotting road networks in Cosmic Frog

Model Run Options

  • New Neo MRO: MaxNumberOfSourcesToConsiderForMultiStopRoutes
    • When Hopper is called inside NEO, it creates multi-stop routes for shipments from a source to multiple destinations. This option limits the top closest sources for each customer that Hopper will consider when creating these multi-stop routes. A higher number of sources may lead to better optimization of routes but can also increase computational time and resource usage.
  • New Dendro MRO: DendroTimeout
    • Time in seconds after which the system will cancel a Dendro generated simulation. This is helpful in case runs get stuck to prevent blocking the next generation. Best practice is to set the time at 1.25-1.5 X the time it takes to simulate the Baseline.

CYCLO - Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization

  • Some of these schema changes are in anticipation of the release of Cyclo (expected towards the end of Q2) - a brand new engine that optimizes on-hand inventory at all locations and can be used in conjunction with Dendro.

📋 New Schema Objects

🆕 6 New Tables

  • CompartmentConfigurations
  • InventorySettings
  • UtilityCurves
  • InventoryNetworkSummary
  • InventorySafetyStockSummary
  • InventoryValidationErrorReport

📈 7 New Columns Across Existing Tables

  • TransportationAssets.CompartmentConfigurationName
  • TransportationPolicies.MaximumServiceTime
  • TransportationPolicies.MaximumServiceTimeUOM
  • TransportationPolicies.MinimumServiceTime
  • TransportationPolicies.MinimumServiceTimeUOM
  • OptimizationProcessSummary.DisposalBehavior
  • TransportationShipmentSummary.CompartmentName
