At Optilogic, we are committed to continually adding more value, and our August 2024 product update is packed with new features and improvements designed specifically for you. In this blog post, we'll walk you through the latest additions to Optilogic, including:
Understanding how you utilize your resources is crucial for optimizing costs and improving efficiency. Our new User Usage Metrics feature provides deep insights into your usage over any specified period. This comprehensive tool includes graphs showcasing Billed Compute Time, Compute Time, Total CPU, and Total RAM consumption. Additionally, you can analyze your usage further with a detailed table and effortlessly export your results to CSV or Excel formats.
Our new Model Assistant expertly guides you in creating models by offering contextual data validation within the UI, complete with inline examples and tools to address any issues. As you build your models, you'll receive guidance on the necessary tables, along with examples and utilities designed to automatically populate these tables whenever possible.
Data accuracy is paramount in supply chain design, and we've made significant improvements to our data validation features. Visual validation of both Input data and Scenario data is now displayed in the Data Grids within Cosmic Frog. Input data errors are flagged, allowing users to filter and view just invalid records and quickly resolve issues. Previously, this information was in the OptimizationValidationErrorReport table. This improvement enhances the user experience for identifying and addressing data issues visually within Cosmic Frog.
Managing custom tables has never been easier with our new Custom Tables UX feature. Users can now create and edit custom tables directly within Cosmic Frog. Previously, custom tables had to be managed using SQL Editor, requiring knowledge of SQL code or an external ETL tool like Alteryx. More on connecting Cosmic Frog with Alteryx.This update simplifies the management of custom tables for business users working directly within Cosmic Frog. You no longer need to be a SQL expert to manage your data effectively. The intuitive interface allows you to create and edit custom tables with ease, making it accessible to users of all skill levels.
Download the Cosmic Frog for Excel App Basic Routing from the Resource Library: This Cosmic Frog for Excel app enables you to change shipment product quantities and generate optimal multi-drop routes. Understand the impact on transportation routes and asset utilization as shipment quantities change. Visualize routes on a map directly in Excel and drill into specific routes to understand fixed and variable costs, as well as driving times and distances.
Download the Cosmic Frog for Excel App Scenario Runner from the Resource Library. This Cosmic Frog for Excel app enables the supply chain designer to rapidly deploy decision-making capabilities to others within their organization. This app allows users to leverage the power of Cosmic Frog by simply changing predefined parameters, such as demand or cost. Users can review results from Cosmic Frog to understand the impact on cost, service, and risk. As a modeler, you can easily configure this app with your models and scenarios built in Cosmic Frog, adjusting both the parameters and the results provided to the app user.
We've made several enhancements to the user experience related to the Cosmic Frog Resource Library. Users can now easily understand what actions they can take against a resource. Whether they want to save time by automatically opening the content after copying, simply copying the resource and continuing to browse the Resource Library, or downloading the content, we provide all options in a centralized location for ease of use. Shareable links also make it easy to share content with other users without the need for them to search the Resource Library themselves.
